Can my child have a trial session before committing to join the club?

Yes, your child is insured to have 2 trials sessions without British Gymnastics or Leaps & Bounds membership. After the 2 trials you will need to decide whether to sign up or not, so that you can register with British Gymnastics and your child is insured for their future sessions. How do I pay for classes?

You can either pay by bank transfer (online, in branch or by your banking app) or you have the option to pay the fees in cash at the gym. A terms fees must be paid upfront in full, once we have offered you the place we will send you the account information.

Are your classes suitable for boys?

Yes. Although the classes are mixed gender, the boys will do a separate circuit with lots of specific conditioning and progressions to work towards skills performed on men’s apparatus. The boys also get a chance to use men’s apparatus such as the pommel horse, rings and high bar.

How do I find the right class suitable for my child?

The easiest way would be to contact Roshni on 07957 288 398 as she can give you the best advice on a suitable class regarding your child’s age, ability and any previous gymnastics experience. Alternatively, under the classes tab at the top of this page you can find information on pre-school gymnastics classes for your child (ages 3 to 5) and general gymnastics classes (ages 5 and over) If you have any other questions, get in touch with us.

What are your term dates?

All of our term dates, including any bank holidays and other holidays can be found here. Please be aware we cannot give you the dates for next term too far in advance, this is information we require the school to give to us. Therefore we can only upload the information once we have received it and confirmed all the dates with the school.

Can parents watch?

Yes, the windows to the gym are glass and parents are allowed to watch at any time. However, our club policy is that strictly no parents are allowed inside the gym to watch their children. With pre-school children, exceptions can be made if it is your child’s first session and they need to be settled. If you would like to read more information on this, please click here.

What are your class sizes and coach ratios?

For pre-school sessions the ratio is lower than a general class. We will have a maximum of 18 children per class with between 3 and 5 coaches. With the general gymnastics class, we will have a maximum of 28 children again with 3-5 coaches.

Can we still join your classes after the term has started?

Yes, you can join at any point in the term and fees will be calculated depending on how many sessions remain until the end of term.

Can my child enter competitions?

Yes, every year we have a club competition where gymnasts within Leaps & Bounds will compete with a chance of earning medals. If your child gets to a high enough level, they will be given the opportunity to compete in regional competitions against other gymnastics clubs in the area.

What happens if my child is injured during training?

All children are fully insured through British Gymnastics (the official governing body for gymnastics within the UK) as part of the registration process. For more information please visit: http://www.bg-insurance.org/For-Gymnasts
