As well as the British Gymnastics RISE awards gymnasts also get the chance to earn floor badges. In order to pass they must achieve a certain pass mark (80%). Children are assessed for floor badges at least twice a year. Skills are to be delivered with technical accuracy. Gymnast’s, remember you must learn the routine off by heart! This means without the coach telling you what to do next.
Gymnast’s will be assessed on the quality of each individual skill in the routine as well as how it is linked together. Skills should be completed as neatly as possible with no extra unnecessary movements. Below you can also see a video of one of our gymnasts performing the routine really well so you can see exactly what it should look like and practice it wherever you are.
